Style Ceramic Compact Hair Setter 3.4 5 107 107
Great Little Product! For such a compact unit, I can't believe how well it curls. I need about 12-13 rollers for my hair and it heats very fast, so I can take out a few of them, reheat, and reuse without wasting too much time. However, I like them so much, I plan to order another set so I can roll my hair all at once . I got them for traveling and haven't used them for that purpose yet, but the size is going to be great to put in a suitcase or carry-on. March 14, 2012
No recommendation until they enlarge the large clips! Purchased Dec. 8, 2014. The medium clips are fine. The large clips are too small and kept popping out. I felt like I was rolling my hair three times every morning UNTIL I pulled out the LARGE clips from an old set of hot rollers. They were slightly bigger. Problem solved. Enlarge the large clips! January 15, 2015
Excellent hair setter kit I bought this product a couple of years ago and used it regularly. It was easy to use, heats up quickly, curls my hair perfectly. Love it. It took it on a trip to Middle East and let my sister usethem. She loved it so much, we tried to find a set for her, unfortunately we couldn't and I ended up leaving my set with my sister. Now I'm going to buy another set for myself. Excellent product. January 13, 2015
Rollers don't stay in I am so frustrated with the rollers--the clips don't stay in my hair for more than 30 seconds. December 30, 2014
Performs well I LOVE these rollers for my thick straight hair. They heat quickly, the curl sets quickly and holds well. My only complaint is that the clips for the larger rollers slide out within seconds. They seem to be too small. I like the product so much I would even purchase more medium rollers and clips so that I would have enough to do my hair all at one time. December 26, 2014
clips how do you keep the rollers in your hair, clips do not hold the rollers. Terrible products. If I had my receipt I would be returning this product to the store. December 15, 2014
Clips Wish I would have read the reviews before love these rollers but the red clips do not fit! The red ones do not stay on. November 17, 2014
Roller Clips Slide Out I had this set a few years ago and loved them because of it's economical and compact status. Then, my daughter fell in love with them so I gave the set to her and recently bought another set for myself. This set, while the rollers are great, the clips to hold the rollers won't stay in and slide out within a few seconds of placing them. I've tried flipping the clip upside down to keep them in and using smaller clips for the larger rollers but nothing seems to help. If you have different clips, use them. Otherwise, purchase them with the roller set (but that defeats the purpose of economical and compact). November 16, 2014

The box states that if you wait 90 seconds, you get soft beach curls. But if you wait the maximum heating time, you get tight curls. I want to know what the maximum heating time is so I can get those tight curls, but not have the rollers so hot, that i burn my hair.

Answer:
I have a lot of hair, so I heat them for about 5 minutes and then set half of my head and do makeup or something else for about 5 min. I have been leaving the empty container plugged in during those 5 or so minutes that the curlers are in my hair. Then I take out the curlers and put them back in the plugged-in container for another 5 min. Then I unplug it and set the other half of my hair. I let the curls cool before I put get in my hair. For tighter curls, I only use my fingers to separate the curls as I work the gel through it - no brush or comb.

I've never timed it. I like loose curls so I would say the 90 seconds would be about right.

I roll my hair and put the clip in the middle of the curler where the hair is rolled. Sometimes, I use 2 clips if the hair is too short to hold with only one clip.

Thank you for your message. Remington does not have another type of clip that will fit your unit. You may check with a beauty supply store for a "generic" clip that may work.

I have seen two different sized roller sets in these Remington hot rollers. So, there are four different sizes of rollers, two different sizes in each set. I believe I saw them on the Remington website, or possibly on Amazon.
