Great Little Product! For such a compact unit, I can't believe how well it curls. I need about 12-13 rollers for my hair and it heats very fast, so I can take out a few of them, reheat, and reuse without wasting too much time. However, I like them so much, I plan to order another set so I can roll my hair all at once . I got them for traveling and haven't used them for that purpose yet, but the size is going to be great to put in a suitcase or carry-on. March 14, 2012

Hot Rollers Result in Great Curls and Body I was searching for a set of curlers for my "polker" straight hair - at least that's what my mother used to call it! After reading the reviews of the Remington Ceramic Compact Setter, I purchased two sets. My hair is not only super straight, but also thick and I knew that one would not be enough. What I like is the fact that they get very hot, but you don't burn your fingers. As long as I leave them in my hair until they cool, I do come away with curls. I also like the size of the unit itself, small and convenient for travel and doesn't take up too much room on my already crowded vanity. I also like the fact that the two different sizes fit onto the same posts, which allows me to keep the two different size rollers separate - one size for each unit instead of mixed. The things that I don't like are just minor annoyances and in no way affect the quality of the curl I get. The two curlers on the end away from the plug don't get very hot; I would call them warm at best. If this happened to just one set, I would assume I just a bad set, but since it happens to both sets, it must be a design flaw. My workaround for this is to move the curlers off the end into two open spots as soon they become available. However, if you have only one set, this might be an issue for you. They don't heat up as fast as claimed; I plug them in before I get in the shower and they're ready to use by the time I have my hair dry. One other small annoyance is that there are directional prongs that have to be fit just so when the curlers are replaced; I don't have time for this in the morning, so this is a chore I usually save for the evening when I'm removing my makeup. All in all this is the only set of curlers I've ever used - and I've tried many! - that give my hair both curl and body, so the small flaws are not enough for me to give this product a bad review, but I think it only fair that others are aware. Very happy As I have long thick hair I ordered 2 sets. I have to use all the curlers but they work very well. Heat up fast. I have very thick hair so the clips for the large curlers don't work too good. Luckily I had old clips from another set of heated curllers so I use them. Overall very happy with the product. Shipping took a week which was very disappointing as I needed them ASAP. May 4, 2013

Love these curlers! I am going to purchase my third set of these compact curlers. I love them. I use them almost every day. I have fine hair, and they stay put most of the time (I frequently laugh that my hair is so straight, the curlers jump out of my hair). I like how quickly they heat up. How easy they are to pack in a suitcase. How they've lasted after being used almost daily. I'm only buying new ones because the finish has finally begun to come undone and some of my ends are broken from dropping them multiple times. A great buy for the price! March 21, 2013

Works well for me. I really love these curlers. They heat up pretty quickly and are perfect for throwing in my suitcase last minute. They give me just the right amount of curl and wave that I'm looking for. I just wish there were more! There just aren't enough for me. My hair is so thick and long that I have to use very little amounts of hair for each roller or the pins won't hold them in and the heat won't penetrate through all of the strands. Luckily, I received an old set from a friend, so now I have two to use while I'm at home. [= Overall, a pretty nice set of travel setters. March 17, 2013

What is the maximum heating time for the hot rollers?

The box states that if you wait 90 seconds, you get soft beach curls. But if you wait the maximum heating time, you get tight curls. I want to know what the maximum heating time is so I can get those tight curls, but not have the rollers so hot, that i burn my hair.
