I have to say that prior to owning this flat iron, i had another one that cost me close to $100 from another brand; so i was under the impression that in order for a tool to be good it had to cost more. i was very surprised to see how well this thing works!! i have relaxed and thick hair and it leaves my hair bone straight! as a matter of fact i'm not going to relax my hair for a while seeing that my new growth is very managable after ironing it. but best of all, it does its job so well that i usually don't have to straighten my hair for another four or five days. even when i'm in the shower, my hair (which usually gets frizzy easily) is still straight until i actually start washing it. the product heats up at its highest setting with about 30 seconds, which is great when i'm in a rush. the cord swivels when it's being turned. i mean, i'm completely in love with it!!!

I love this straigtener, its the only one I would own. I bought one for my daughter and she can get ready so quick now. It only takes a few seconds to heat up so no need to find something to do while you wait. I makes her hair shiny and doesnt get caught or pull her hair out. I have had a few other ones but this is the only one I will buy in the future. It is 1 year and still work the same as rhe day I bought it.

I was hesitant to get one because I have short hair and afraid it would burn my hair. I love the way it make your hair soft and not at all hard. This is the first time I have used a flat iron, and it was easy to use. I recommend it to everyone!

I just bought one of theses but im sure that the iron is a bit wider. it works awesome!! i can cool it down to do my daughet hair or put it up to do my hair! and it is smooth to run through my hair.. my hair does not get caught in it what so ever!

Hi there! My sister in law has the same problem. I advise you to call Remington so that they can explain you the steps on getting a new one. The warranty is good for 4 years and there will be no charge for it, just the shipping to send it back to them. Your flat iron is most likely defected. Hope that helps, good luck;)
