I have really thick and long hair, and 1" straighteners just don't cut it. It would take me 3 hours to do my hair. But it's always been very difficult finding a straightener wider than 1". In my search, I had found a 2" wide flat iron, it was a very expensive; and that thing died on me within a year. I wasn't pleased, especially since it was rather pricey. Then one day I was browsing the aisles at store and noticed this flat iron, while it's not quite 2", it's close enough. It gets the job done quickly, heats up very quickly, digital controls don't accidentally get turned off, gets very hot (up to 410 degrees) and best of all, when I bought it, it was on sale. I highly recommend this.

My expensive salon flat iron died and so I decided to give this one a try. It works much better than my previous one ever did! Very inexpensive! The only thing is that only one of the plates floats. I don't know if that is how it is suppose to be or not but either way it works great!

This is a great product! Easy to handle and it really heats right up. The best part is I have natural curly hair, and it is very long usually by the time I get from one side to the other side my arm and wrist is very tired. But this one is great for long term use and it doesn't take as long to do all my hair. So no more achy wrist and arm!!!!!
Highly reccommended!!!!!!

How long should it take for the product to heat up?

The product won't heat up and I just bought it yesterday. It has been plugged in and the the light has been blinking for over ten minutes now.

What is the minimum heat?

It is incredibly hot. I can't touch my hair after using it. When dial it down all of the way it says 310, but it feels much hotter than my other iron, which I set at 300.

230v to 110v converter are available but what about frequency. Has this model got sufficient tolerance ?
