I bought this product 4 months ago and am already having problems with it. The iron fails to heat up consistently now.
Also, the buttons are in an inconvenient place for use while straightening.

No, I do not recommend this product.

After years of looking for a flat iron that wasn't too hot, too damaging, and too expensive I finally stumbled upon this miracle. I have used the

- Andis black flat iron (not good enough)
- the conair with the yellow (doesn't get hot enough)
- The Instyler (doesn't get close to roots and it stopped working after 30 days, it short circuited)
- The infamous Chi- (too hot and the ceramic was horrible on my hair)
- Revlon Ceramic (ugh)
- Various other ceramic flat irons

I thought I was bound to have to go under the hood dryer forever with my fine grained African-American relaxed hair.

One day I was visiting my sister and used her flat irom (remingston teflon) and I FELL IN LOVE AFTER FIRST TRY!

It is so smooth and just glides down my hair. The temperature range is so big, so its good when you just need a little heat or when it is time for a relaxer and you need more heat.

I recommend using it with Morraccan Oil if you can afford it, its like $40 bucks a bottle. The Sally's Beauty Supply version, Arguan Oil is great too, about $5-$10 a bottle. Just put some in palm and massage through hair and flat ironing experience with this Remington straightner will be amazing.

This straightener was basically my best friend! I loved it. Unfortunately, mine was stolen... But I would definitely recommend it! I'm hopefully getting a new one soon!

I bought this flat iron because the one i had previously was drying my hair out so much that i had to stop using it and let it grow, and cut it. This flat iron is awesome, I use this almost everyday during the week and Ive had no dry, frizzy hair damage. Remington did a great job with this one.
