I have successfully used this unit on my face, buttocks, back of the neck, arms, top of feet, back of hands, fingers, knuckles. It does take more care in some sensitive areas, but I feel very safe using this epilator on a daily basis and I have had no siginificant issues with any ingroan hairs. It helps to work into the area that you want to epilate. To reduce discomfort, just work from and edge and slow work into the heavier hair. I use a combination of circular and more straight motion depending on the sensitvity of the area. Some areas have become so fine that I actually look forward to epilation because it has a soothing effect like accupuncture. It also helps to use some form of lotion with aloe to sooth the area epilated and I also make sure that I wipe the completed area with isopropyl alcohol as well to reduce infection.
