Rated 5 out of 5 by from Head order I purchased the product on 10/29/12. It is a model 4135HXLP. I ordered a new head which came promptly. I installed it, and it works fine. When I tried to disassemble it for cleaning, I could not get the blade covers out. After trying for a time to rotate them as the instructions say, I finally realized that they were different than the original assembly. I finally got the drive unit out and cleaned the blade and blade cover from the bottom. It would have saved time and the possibility of damaging the new assembly if there had been instructions to clean it. The new assembly says it is an SPR - replacement head for R3,R4,R5,R6, R7 and R8.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from too much product? I had to spend more money than I wanted to, to buy more parts than I needed to, to fix my razor. That's because by selling the entire shaving head, which included many internal components I didn't need, as a the only option Remington offered to me for getting a replacement part for the cracked plastic head cover, ..yes, .I got what I needed, but I got so much more that I never intended to buy. This corporate approach is profitable for Remington, at the EXPENSE of, in exchange of, them providing more customer focused customer service, this is what I call corporate focused customer service. Yes the razor works well now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SP-R: Head and Cutter Assembly; I had been cleaning the head and cutter assembly by touching the release button, and tapping it with my finger to remove some of the loose hair then taking it apart to clean the inside, however that was putting stress on the hinge area, It broke off. Then I went on line to Remington, for repair parts I found what I wanted placed my order and received the new part in a few days. I put the new assembly on, with a three day growth expecting to have some pulling, but to my surprise it was gliding over my beard as if I had not taken the plastic head guard off. And the closest shave i"ve ever had with an electric shaver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remington Shaver head My existing razor head casing broke when I hit it lightly against the sink to dislodge shavings, (my fault I guess). The new head and shaving blades fit nicely and works well. I will be a little more careful when dislodging whiskers from now on. The cost seemed a bit high, but then the shaver was $ 65.00 new. I guess I'm from the old school when gasoline cost 18 cents per gallon. I've never gotten over the new costs for things. Nevertheless, Remington sure beats the competition's products, I used them for prior years. This electric cordless razor and parts are nevertheless worth it. Battery life is phenomenal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pricey but good Well on durability, I have to say the original head wasnt great. It hit the floor once and broke into all its pieces, usually fixable, but key pieces broke due to plastic design. Value was ok, I just didnt feel the head replacement justified over half the cost of just getting a new full model. Performance is still second to none compared to all the different pivot electric razors Ive tried, some returning the very next day. I stick with this one as I use it to shave my head as the "pricklies" as my kids call it come back in every week. For that it does a gooe job weekly. Just thought the price was high for a replacement part made of plastic, although the blades are of good quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too much money This replacement part is $30 and then with $8 shipping, it is too much. I am going to buy a brand new razor complete for $33 instead. This should only be $20 maybe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and easy Quick and easy. Pop the old one out and pop the new one in and your done. Easy. Though for me actually taking the top off the razor body at first caused me confusion for I was worried I was going to break it off rather then it actually sliding off. I will add that maybe had I actually maintained and cleaned it more often the blades may have lasted longer, for mine were encased in stubble which probably dulled them faster. I did buy the replacement knowing I could buy an actual brand new razor for the same price which others have also stated. But, those probably are not chargeable, which I need/like.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Satisfied Customer I've used the Remington rotary razors for over 40years to my recall. So my beard is use to this motion/shave. In this 40 years I've only had 3 electric razor----super product. Even then I think I gave the razor away and bought new blades for it. As a retired military man I was always glad to pass down the product to less fortunate men. I know you only need to use the new blades for a year I always seem to get about 2 years out the blades. The only problems I ve have ever had with your product was one time--the blade grill/guard was damaged and would cut my face. don't remember quite how it happen. Again I'm please with you product would not change because my face is use to it---cheers don't go out of business.
