Rated 4 out of 5 by from Parts priced higher than razor! The Remington screen and blade set is an essential replacement parts set for a worn or even carefully used Remington twin foils razor. Even if an old foil has not worn through, the performance would have deteriorated if the cutters and foil are quite old and used. A razor that I would have junked if these parts were not available cut like a new razor after replacement of the SP- 62 screens and cutter set. I'm not pleased that the SP-62 set costs more than the either of my razors cost me new, and one of those came with the ear/nose hair trimmer! I am also not pleased that I was only able to find these parts on-line, and that the local Remington retailers do not carry the parts!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remington Parts VS Aftermarket I have always bought genuine Remington parts. Several months ago, I bought an aftermarket foil and cutter that was advertised as being a direct replacement for original parts. In less than two weeks, the foil developed large holes that allow the cutter to inflict some painful nicks during shaving. This time, I went back to buying genuine Remington parts. My razor runs like new and gives a comfortable shave. I can tell that the foil is sturdier just by feel. The price was fair and the delivery was reasonable. My only complaint is that these parts are not available at Walmart, where I bought the shaver. They must be ordered on-line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Remington Shave I have bought several Remington shavers over time because the cost is little more than to buy a screen & cutter replacement. However, I happened on a great shaver with a fast running motor. The speed of the motor has a lot to do with the shaving efficiency. So I buy replacement assemblies for it, finding that the shave is faster, more comfortable and closer than Braun or any other I've tried over the years. ( I'm 75 ). The screens last, however, only two to three months maximum before developing tiny holes in them. A few days before the holes actually appear the shave becomes uncomfortable and a sore rash develops. Time to order a new one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from razor My problem is no service. I have looked in stores who sell your product, but do not carry replacement heads etc. I bought my first one in Danville Ill. We went on a trip to Mi. and I forget my razor so I bought the same thing as I liked the first one. I could clean one and use the other for a while. This worked until the heads went bad. At this time I went looking for some new ones and ran into a problem. I donot buy things with the computer or phone as I look at them first. I did give in and called over the phone and ordered one. I'm 75 where I worked people didn't have this problem. I even on my own time took care of some problems so as to have a place to work

Rated 2 out of 5 by from a review after years I have been using Remention micro since it was a ronson.. I am now 78. For years it has been the only razor I could use. Orriginally the screen lasted a fair amount of time. I have always resented the fact that one must buy a screenand blade together at 1/2 the price of a new razor but have lived with it. This recent razor design screen went far faster than they used to and tho the blade was still able to cut my face, I was still made to buy both and still at 1/2 the price of a new razor. If this 2nd screen goes as fast, I may be forced to try a blade. Over the years I've bought maybe 29 plus and one of your people tried to say I wasn't using it properly. R. Carr

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Problems with this product! The microscreen only lasts from three to six months. Originally they lasted a year. Whoever makes these screens now needs to improve the quality and durability of the metal screen so it doesn't loose the smoothness and get chip spots that then scratch the face and require a new screen. Also, someone in your marketing needs to contact Walmart and find out why they don't stock these microscreens anymore. It was convenient to be able to buy them at Walmart. Now I have to order them direct from Remington. Walmart stocked them up to about two or three years ago. Thanks for your consideration of these facts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from replacement part doesn't quite fit I've replaced the foil and cutter with this same part 6-7 times over the years. This foil doesn't quite fit like the prior ones. It was very difficult to get it seated properly on the razor head. Now there is a slight crease or bulge on the foil surface, since the plastic frame holding the foil doesn't fit exactly right. All of the prior ones worked and fit great. I tried purchasing the same replacement part from a different vendor, and it was half the cost of this one for the same part. The result was the same. I won't be buying any more replacements in the future, I'll just buy a new electric razor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Does The Job I've tinkered with several types of electrical razors when I gave up with blade razor usage. From the beginning of my research into electrical razors, I chose this one. The only frustration now is that my facial hair is gray & after extensive research with Remington representatives & cosmeticians who I know personally, gray hairs are much tougher & faster growing. This explains why I have to frequently purchase the screen & cutter parts from Remington in order to replace the worn screens. The costs out-of-pocket aren't fun, but, since I like the performance of this shaver, I plan to "stick with it"
