Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dull Replacement Blades This is the third try to get decent replacement blades, and have failed three times. In the past I have continued to purchase NEW Reminington shavers and they perform as you would expect; however it is a waste of natuaral resources to throw away a 6 month old shaver just to get new blades. The replacement blades I just purchased are not sharp, they pull my beard, particularly in the moustache area. The only resloution I see is for you to send me a set of SHARP replacement blades. If that doesn't happen, then I'll switch to buying a German brand shaver. It's not a good idea to lose a customer that has been buying Remington shavers for over forty years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You Get What You Pay For The micro-screen lasted less than a year. While waiting for the replacement parts, I bought a Panasonic. There is a big difference in these shavers. The Remington is average with regards to components. It cuts closer than the Panosonic but lacks the quality of the Panasonic. The batteries in the Panasonic last longer between charges, keeping their charge longer. And the cutting head and the blades are superior in the Panasonic. Even having said this, the Remington is a good low-end shaver that will meet the needs for most users. Sorry Remington if this is harsh but it's best the truth be known and you endeavor to improve your quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product has some good features I purchased the F5790 to replace my long used MS300 and was somewhat disappointed. The 5790 doesn't irritate my skin as much as the 300 but takes longer to get as close a shave. The trimmer of the 5790 is more awkward to use than the one on the 300. The charge of the 5790 doesn't last as long as the 300 but doesn't take as long to recharge. The life of my first screen was shorter than screen replacement on the 300 but the new 5790 screen is much easier to remove for cleaning than the original screen. In all some features of the 5790 are improvements over the 300, but some are not. All features considered, I don't feel the 5790 is any better shaver than the 300.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shave I have been using the Remington F5790 for about six years now. I have used it anywhere from about twice a week for several years to six days a week for the last two years. I have thought a couple of times the cutters should last longer, but I see by my account that they average six months of daily use for me. All things considered I think it is overall a great shaving system, and the best I have had in 40 plus years of shaving. I read a couple of other reviews complaining about the pieces "popping out"...that has vever happened to me. I wonder if they had the correct parts?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remington Replacement Screens Not sure if the plastic insert is there to hold the screens but it is not the compatible with my shaver. If i use the plastic insert rather than the original insert it falls out of my shaver, the first replacement i received from Remington had the robust plastic piece, if i would have know then i wasn't going to receive the same product i would have saved that plastic insert. I know the product is end of life and i hope it was worth saving that extra .001 cent of plastic mold, but know that when you stop selling these replacements or when my shaver breaks i will not be purchasing another Remington product. Thank you

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You will not want to use my review Most product companies today only want to know what you think if you love their product and can use your review to sell more product. They really don't want to know otherwise. I purchased my very expensive shaver in the hopes it would be the best shave I have ever had. It is a relatively close shave but by far the most uncomfortable razor I've ever used. I have stuck with it because otherwise my $200 is a wasted investment. That is also why I signed up for the screen replacement program. i quickly learned that when a hole appears in the foil the result is pretty violent on your face. When the shaver unit wears out I will quit the program. I do not intend to buy a Remington again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from screen I put the new blades in they are OK but the new screen cover wont stay in place when the razor is turned on, every time I turn the razor on the screen popped of I finally had to take all the screens out and put them on the original cover in order for the razor to work properly, I am very unsatisfied with my order.I should have just bought another razor.
