This is my 1st rotary shaver and still getting used to it. Good comfortable cut generally, but tough to get nooks and crannies. I have always used foil shavers, buty thought I'd give this a try.I may change my mind, but I still prefer foil shavers over rotary. Only had this razor 2 weeks, so we'll see. Good smooth cut in general areas though.

Even though it says not to use for shaving the head I use it for both my face and my head and it works great. The only thing better is the Gillette Fusion but the price of blades is ridiculous. I've been using this razor for about 4 months now and it still works great. I've saved hundreds of dollars on the cost of blades so far! I would strongly recommend this razor. I don't know how long it will last but I'll buy another, it can handle the abuse.

Produces a close shave. Cleaning feature somewhat a pain as it is tough to dry and inner brackets holding the rotor blades in place tend to realease and time has to then be spent to reassemble the shaver. Charge lasts about six days and the charge scale on the handle is a great feature as you know when to plug in prior to it running out of juice.

I can't seem to be happy with any electric razor I have bought in the past. Whether I had razor burn or tug and pull I am yet to stick with the old shaver when it comes time to replace the blades. After a few uses I can already tell that I will be sticking with this shaver for a long time.

This razor is great. In the past I would have issues with electric razors cutting my neck, but the flexible heads on this one take care of that, I haven't cut myself yet. The detailing trimmer is also great for sideburns and any facial hair touch ups. Very satisfied with this razor, I'm going to buy one for my dad for Christmas because I like it so much.

I am 52 yrs old been using remington products since I was 16. This is a VERY bad design as the Blades will NOT stay on, ! of the broke off afer 2 months. Ive NEVER had a bad razor from this company before. I hope they change the design..
As for shaving ITS WONDERFUL. It shaves a lot better than any norelco Ive ever tried..

Replaced $200 Norelco with $40 Remington R5150 !!

*Pro: After $35 for a new head (3rd-3 years) for my $200 Norelco Arcitec (same basic features as R5150) and 3 uses of my new $40 R5150, I packed away the Arcitec. Liked all about the Arcitec except closeness of shave & ability to shave longer hair/whiskers. R5150 shaves EXTREMELY close on first pass. Some neck burn which I expect to go away with use.
*Con: Somewhat bulky, loud, noisy but the shave is unbeatable. No cleaning brush or stand (penny items, several of which I have from other razors) which makes it seem as if the Remington is a poorly regarded sideline. Keep getting distracted by what seems like a flashlight but it is the bathroom light reflected by the chrome around the razor heads--form won over function--tone down circus look chrome.
*Reliability to be determined: Had actually bought a Remington before the Arcitec but one Remington head fell out after 1 use. Then I recalled seeing 1 Remington head had fallen out in another store package. Hopefully the reliability & durability has been improved.

Just flip open the top and the cover just snaps off , remove the cutters by rotating the locking arms counter-clockwise,then remove the inner cutter carrier away from the cutters,remove the cutters, rinse all the parts under running warm water,let them dry and replace everything in reverse order! Never put the main body into the water ! !

Solid red light on instead of Green charge bars

I just got this unit about 8 weeks ago, and have charged it a couple of times. Durning the last charge however, the red light on the unit came on and stays on when in use instead of the green charge indicator bars. What does this mean? Is my unit defective since I no longer see the green charge indicator lights when in use?
