F5 Shaver with Set of Replacement Foils 4 5 28 28
Clean, rapid shaves. I bought this razor at Target. Rapid and effective shaves of both one-day or two day beard growth. Easy to clean. F-5 has strong heavy-duty battery. I'm concerned about life of the screens, will avoid pressure and use pre-shave lotion to help, pressure is not needed with this razor. April 18, 2014
Burned This is the worst shaver I've ever owned. It's over-sized and under-powered. The shape is hard to hold onto. It takes ten minutes of steady shaving to achieve what I would call a barely passable shave. I received the wrong extra cutter and foil, but it doesn't matter because the shaver is in the garbage. I'll never buy another Remington product. March 25, 2014
vERY GOOD SHAVER I ORRIGINAL USED THE MICRO SCREEN SHAVERS. I STARTED WHEN THE ADDS RUN ABOUT THE MAN WHO BOUGHT THE COMPANY. I USED THESE UNTL I SAW SANTA CLAUS SLEDING DOWN A HILL AND SWITCHED TO NORELCO. HOWEVER I NEVER GOT A SATISFACTORY SHAVE. ALSO USED THE 4570. UNFORTUNATELY REPLACEMENT BLADES AND SCREENS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABE FOR THESE OLD SHAVERS 88P2-10 AND MODEL 8MF1. THE 5800 IS EASIER TO HOLD AND GIVES A VERY NICE CLOSE SHAVE. YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS:SMALL ROTARY MOTIONS. DOING THIS GIVES AN EXCELLENT CLOSE BLADE LIKE SHAVE. I AM 85 YEARS OLD AND HAVE USED THIS SHAVER FOR WEEKS. HAD A HARD TIME ON THE REMINGTON WEB SITE TO FIND THE REPLACEMENT SCREEN AND BLADES. THE ARE PRICED ABOUT THE SAME AS NORECLO, February 26, 2014
Really Like It My old razor's battery was not holding a charge and needed new cutters, so it only made sense to move up to a new razor. I tried one of Remington's Rotary shavers, it was a nice lightweight, quiet razor but I just couldn't get it to shave as close as my old foil razor and couldn't get above my lip (mustache area) well at all. Remington was very prompt in returning my purchase price for that unit. So I bought this F5. Nice razor! Shaves well. I am very happy with this unit and very satisfied with Remington's return policy for the Rotary I tried). The intercept trimmer has eliminated all those little stray hairs that seem to spring up in the neck area. The best shave is when I use a pre-shave lotion; but I still get a good shave without the pre-shave lotion. February 17, 2014
F5 Shaver This is a step up from the 4800 shaver, nicer design, less noisy, heavier razor, and a step up in the rechargeable class of razors in general. If the motor doesn't quit after 2 years like the 4800, I will consider a true upward trend in quality of hand-held razors for Remington, since they stopped making the cheaper versions... January 22, 2014
So far so good So far this is performing much better then the other brand's floating head shaver that I had and quickly came to hate. I hope it continues to be this good. January 15, 2014
Unhappy with shaver This Shaver quit cutting in 3 days. It has been sent back. Very Disappointed. January 11, 2014
Total let down compared to older models The pop up trimmer doesn't cut longer hair and does a very poor job cutting/detailing side bearns or mustache. The interceptor trimmer did not perform as well as I expected. The only good to decent thing is the foil on this shaver. I would go back to buying an older remington model rather than buying this piece of junk December 29, 2013

Since when i purchased it i have problems with irritation on my face because of those blades, my face feels like it's on fire after i use it and my skin doesn't seem to adjust to the new shaving system. What is the problem with those blades? Why they heat up so fast?

Answer:
Before you try switching razors, are you properly lubricating your skin before shaving? I have found either Remington Powder Stick or CVS Classic pre-shaves to greatly reduce irritation as well as extend razor head life.

Answer:
I would gladly replace my F5800 shaver with a rotary but i have it for at least half of year and i kept it as a backup for my old Braun shaver that died one month ago so i have 1 month with this shaver and my skin doesn't like it, sometimes it feels like it wants to adjust to the shaver but other times it feels like it just doesn't like it, i suspect it's the titanium coated blades that cause this irritation, why not use steel blades instead of those but with more cutting elements? It's advertised on the box that titanium is 300% harder than steel but it doesn't feel like it since i have to make 6 passes over my face for the shaver to get all the hairs. It feels like the quality of the electric shavers has dropped very much compared to 10 years ago.

Answer:
Thank you for your recent message. We do apologize for the inconvenience that has been caused by the razor. With a new razor system, it is listed within the manual, that there is a period of adjustment that the face will need to become comfortable with the new razor. This period in some cases can take upwards of 3 weeks. During this time frame it is possible to get the feeling or appearance of razor burn. If you feel that this is something that is specific to the razor itself we will gladly work with you to exchange it for another type of razor (i.e. rotary for Microscreen) and see if that would work better for you. Please respond and let us know if this is something that you would be interested in. Also in your response if you could include the model number of the razor that you currently have for our records.

Answer:
If all are flashing that means that it is full charge.
If some are solid and others are flashing, that means that it is charged up to the ‘solid’ light and charging the flashing sections still.

i.e. the LED’s blink until the threshold levels above are achieved – solid after threshold level is obtained.

I plugged in the razor F5 to the wall charger for the first time and it blinked all green. I turned it on and it registered 100% charged right out of the box. It did nothing however when I placed it in the charging station.....no lights. What gives?
