It took 2 weeks for the shaver to work like I wanted it to. Each razor shaves different so you have to get it broke in.
I now can get a clean shave within 5 min. which use to take 10 or more with my other razor. { Great razor }

I have had a F4790 for years and love it. Both of my sons are U. S. Marines. My oldest is now serving in Afghanistan and wrote to me asking me to get him a new shaver. I bought the secend 4790 for him. We try to send him a goodie box every couple of weeks, he got a big goodie in his last one, your shaver. Thank you for a great product.

After 25 years of using my previous Remington, it was time for a new one. This new shaver is all you could want. Easy to hold, a close shave, easy to clean, and the rechargable battery will last at least a week.

On my second one after the first was replaced under warranty. The foil heads have a extremely short life. I have not been able to get even four months out of them even though I shave only every other day. When they do go bad they leave cuts and you can not really tell they are going bad until it just happens. DO NOT BUY!!

I've purchased the Remington Micro Screen DA307 recharge razor for the past 30+years and love it. Recently I tried to get another new one only to find it isn't available at my local major stores...Wal-Mart, K-Mart etc. I purchased the F4790Gb instead. I hate this shaver per the following: 1. It leaves a dark, oil like substance on my face. 2. Sharp edges at the 4 corners of the shaver head chaff my skin. 3. The battery self-Discharges over 48 hrs.time if not left plugged in.
4. Shaving debris & dust isn't stored in the shaver & falls around shave area..
I doubt I will purchase anymore Remington products after all these years.

Thank you for your message. The shaver does not need to be fully charged to use plugged in. By plugging this unit into the wall, it is running off electricity. Once unplugged it will then run off the charged battery.

Is it acceptable to use a pre shave liquid?

Husband has a heavy beard and has used shaver 2 to 3 times since the purchase. It stopped in the shaving process. I turned it back on and it still lit up green. It worked for a bit and shut off again. I have put it on to charge. Hope this is not harmful but again the dry beard is not working well. Thank you.
