i purchased the wrong part. i was lookiing for the rubber part that is underneath the screen. so i return the both item and purchase a a brand new shaving kit. maybe when i order a part its the correct parts. i will call very soon to check on my refund

I purchased the wdf 3600 less than a year ago. I bought it because my skin is sensitive to razers and my legs break out everytime I shave. I was nervous buying it since it was $40+ and I didn't want to invest in something that I wasn't sure if it would help alleviate my issues. Nevertheless I spent the money and I tried it. At first I was not all that impress because it did not cut as close as I expected it to. So I applied a little more gentle pressure and worked. However by doing this frequently I noticed that the little stubborn hairs that the blades did not pick up started giving me ingrown hairs. I assumed this happened since I had try to apply more pressure to pick up. This was a problem for me because I no longer had just a clean shaven legs I had little ingrown hair irratations. I dealt with this for months because the shaver allowed me to shave quickly when in a rush. But adding the extra pressure caused my legs to get nick in the process. Initially I would not know that I nicked myself until after I started putting on my clothes and saw blood running down my leg. I tried to use this shaver in the shower twice and found that is was completely useless. It would never grab the hairs so it is most effective using it on dry skin. But watch out when the foils start unhinging from the blades. I didn't know that i needed a replacement until the wires started scratching my legs up. I was very upset! At first I thought I applied to much pressure and tried again but when I did I found out quickly that it was not me the screen had a huge wire pricking my skin and when I turned it on to see what it was doing the wire eventually turned into a huge hole. So not only did I have a cut on my leg I also had a hole in the shaver screen. I used this product every other day and only on my legs. I thought about purchasing the screens but when I went to Walmart and target I found out quickly that neither carried the replacement parts for this product. To be honest the replacement parts are more than half the cost of the actually shaver. I'm not sure if that is a bargain considering that you can only order it online and have it shipped to your house. No woman wants to wait a week or more for a shaver and walk around with hairy legs for days! I've had to wear pants for a few weeks since I found that none of the stores that sell this product have the replacement parts for this product for the women. Key word "women" on the other hand the men have replacement heads and foils for their electric shavers but not the women. I find that utterly crazy since Remington wants women to use these products too. However within my search to find the replacement parts, I did find a men's version of foils that looks as if it would fit my wdf3600 but I learned that this one is a little longer than the women's. So I returned it to the store. In conclusion the electric shaver is really loud! It sounds like loud barbershop clippers than need a lot of oil. Not to mention the battery does not last long if you do not have it constantly charging. So make sure you always leave it plugged up or unless you would like to walk around with a half shaven leg and one hairy one. I assumed since the replacement parts were unavailable and the product could not be found on the shelves; that it may have been defected and sent back to the manufacture. That would not be to hard to believe considering the scratches and bruises on my legs that I now have from the screens that scraped my legs. However I do see that Remington now offers a update version of the wdf3600 but the catch is I have to pay another $40 for it and even though it comes with 2 replacement screens I'm leery if it worth buying. Because when those foils are no longer good will i run into the same problem not able to shave my legs for weeks since the store doesn't carry the parts. Not to mention I will be only limited to buying them only from the manufacture who sells the foils for more than half the cost of the entire product?! I'm not sure if I want to buy this product every time the foils break. Consider with caution...

Once I removed the old cutters, installing the new ones was a snap, literally. I had a small challenge removing my old cutters. It was easier with a cloth between cutters & my fingers. The foils are easy to replace the whole unit just slides out & new one slides in.
Well worth the investment. Basically, it makes the razor new again.

I bought this shaver over 18 months ago and have been extremely pleased with its performance. I just replaced the screens and cutters and they are great. It is one of the best purchases that I have made in a long time and I appreciate that Remington still makes replacement parts for it.

This is the best shaver that I've ever had. The blades lasted me for 2 years before I had to replace them. It gives a wonderfully close shave, and has never irritated my skin.

Looking for replacement parts for an old WDF-5000 women's shaver.

I have an old WDF-5000 that I absolutely love! It works great, but I broke the foil screen and I would like to replace the cutters. Can I still get parts for it?

I also have a WDF-5000 and I love it!! I'm so sad that they don't make it anymore, or at least something with the same design and features.

The replacement part for the WDF-5000 is SP-118 (2 foils + 2 cutters) . It fits WDF-1000, 1100, 1500, 3000 & 5000 . After Remington's web site stopped selling SP-118, I used to be able to find it on Amazon, but now it's listed as "currently unavailable".

If you can't find the SP-118, you might try the SP-360 part ( 2 foils and 2 cutters) . The SP-360 is made for a lot of the "older" shavers that were similar to the WDF-5000. I'll probably give it a try if I can't find the SP-118 anywhere. It would at least be worth a try.

I wish Remington would consider bringing back the WDF-5000 design. Even if they called it something else, I'd still buy it (i.e, if they came up with a "new" item that had virtually the same design) . I've tried some of the newer Remington shavers and they didn't work nearly as well so I returned them. I especially like how the WDF-5000 has pivoting trimmer blades on Both sides of the shaver, including an adjustable-height trimmer blade on the front. Plus, the handle on the WDF-5000 is so much more ergonomic than the newer models with smaller handles.

I have purchased other brands of shavers in the past, but I much preferred my Remington WDF-5000. But now another company makes a shaver with all the features that I loved about the WDF-5000. If I can't find replacements for the 5000, I might give that other company's model a try. Sorry...

Go to the website and look at the SP-360 replacement screen and cutters. These fit more models than are listed in the title. They should work for you and are a great value.

Can I buy other pieces for the head assembly? The bottom gold comb (to hold up the hair for cutting) of my 7000cs is gone

I understand I can buy this to replace cutters/foil but I'm wondering if I can buy this additional piece. I would replace the whole razor as I like it a lot but it seems to have been discontinued.
