Good Razor overall but terrible cheap parts. I really like using razor HC5550 but the plastic combs that come with it are cheap and easily break. I've had to replace these combs twice already in less than a year of moderate use. December 26, 2012

I love my HC 5550.... hate trying to replace guards if they break Like the title... love it.... Broke the cheap, weak guard with only regular use.... ordered a replacement....( $15 with shipping... half the price of the HC 5550) part arrived in an envelope in 5 broken pieces.... just what I wanted... 2 broken guards... stubble comb only In August of 2011 I purchased a Remington beard and haircut trimmer . The trimmer and short comb have work great so far. My issue is with the stubble comb. To get a clean and even look, the trimmer should be held with a little pressure against the head and the stubble comb does not hold up. I purchased 2 additional combs in June 2012 which lasted until early November. I just purchased another 2 combs to get me by while I start researching another model or possibly even another brand. Don't like but I needed it. The gap between the tines on the bottom are not rounded and quite rough on the skin. it doesn't attach securely to the razor. November 13, 2012

Replacement I am glad the part was easily replaceable. It is the only shaving head I use. Like the razors performance overall. August 20, 2012

made cheaply this is made very cheaply, I only had it a moth and already had to purchase a replacement. They provide a carrying case but I recomend not using the carrying case to hold the trimmer as guards break very easy when in the carrying case with the trimmer. Cut depth is great and gives a great look when finished but for durability is made very cheaply July 16, 2012

Thank you for your inquiry. The stubble comb does not have a range of lengths. It is meant to give you a "stubble" look and cuts to 1/16" or 1.5mm.

If you're looking for something to cut at a longer length, this unit comes with 2 other guides. Their size adjustments are listed as:

1/8" (3mm) adjusts to 7/8", 3/4", 5/8", 3/8", 1/4" and 1/8"
1" (25mm) adjusts to 1 3/4", 1 5/8", 1 1/2", 1 3/8", 1 1/4", 1 1/8", and 1"
